Before venturing into the unknown you can also buy an Iron Totem and a pickaxe. When you have these items you can start looking for iron ore and make your own crystallized iron farm.
Where to Find Crystallized Iron
Crystallized iron can only be obtained by mining iron nodes that usually drop two to four pieces of iron, which will have 1 out of 66 chances to drop a crystallized iron (roughly a 1.5% chance). This means that you need to mine a lot of iron nodes to be able to get at least one piece of crystallized iron.
Currently, there are only three locations in Roblox Islands that contain iron nodes:
Slime Island Buffalkor Island Wizard Island
Slime Island
This island can be accessed only through a portal that can be found on the mainland right next to the Adventurer NPC.
You need to have a weapon equipped on you. Otherwise you will not be able to enter the portal.
Once you enter the Slime Island, and after mining the iron nodes, you can travel to the other side of the island for the only portal that leads to Buffalkor Island.
Buffalkor Island
In order to walk through the portal and enter the Buffalkor Island you need to have the Buffalkor Island Key.
This key has a 7% of being dropped from dead slimes, which can be farmed on the Slime Island.
The main source of crystallized iron on the island are the Buffalkors, which are bear-like creatures that drop various types of ores after being killed.
Since only two Buffalkors can spawn on an island at a time, this is not the best spot for farming crystallized iron.
Wizard Island
In the eastern part of the Buffalkor Island there is a portal to the Wizard Island. You can enter this portal only if you have the Wizard Island Key, which is a rare drop from Buffalkors.
This island has plenty of iron and gold nodes all around, which is why it’s a good idea to spend some time farming Buffalkors and teleporting to the Wziard Island.
How to Farm Crystallized Iron
If you don’t want to manually search for iron nodes, you can start your own automated iron farm using an Iron Totem.
Step 1: Buy an Iron Totem
Iron Totem can be purchased from the Totems Merchant residing on the Mainland for 4,000 coins.
Once you have it in your inventory you can start producing iron nodes around it in the area of 9x9 blocks.
Of course you can buy more than one totem, if you have enough coins.
Step 2: Build a Platform
Iron Totem needs to be placed on a solid footing to be able to produce iron nodes uninterruptedly.
That’s why you need to build at least a 9x9 platform made of stone blocks. You can use any kind of blocks, but stone is recommended for iron farming.
Step 3: Place the Totem on the Platform
Once your platform is ready you need to place your Iron Totem right in the center of it.
All you need to do now is wait before the totem starts spawning iron nodes all around.
Once the platform is filled with iron nodes you can start mining them with your pickaxe.
Step 4: Craft a Conveyor
This step is optional, but you can also craft a conveyor at the Workbench (Tier 3) using the following recipe:
You can place your Iron Totem next to a conveyor and it will be collecting iron ore uninterruptedly, which will save your time and energy from manual mining.
